Holy Baptism is administered at either the 8:00am or the 10:15am service on the four

principal Baptismal Sundays during the year.  Dates for the upcoming year are:

            All Saints Day                       November 6, 2011

            Baptism of our Lord             January, 8, 2012

            Easter Vigil                            April 7, 2012

            Day of Pentecost                  May 27, 2012

Baptisms are also scheduled when there is a pastoral need.  Rehearsal for baptism is customarily held at church on the Saturday preceding the baptism.  Parents of infants and children who are about to be baptized must attend, godparents are encouraged to attend.


To schedule a baptism, please talk with the Rector.  He will give you the necessary
policies and forms. 

Confirmation for adults and youth in their early high school years is held every other year.  Confirmation preparation classes for both groups will begins in Epiphany of 2012.

  Marriage arrangements are initiated through a meeting with the Rector.  The following requirements must be met before a marriage can be performed at St. Mark’s: 

  • At least one of the parties has received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.
  • The couple shall receive instruction as specified by the priest as to the nature of Christian marriage.
  • Thirty (30) days notice shall be given to the Rector.
  • If either party has been married previously and the former spouse is still living the priest must receive the permission of the Bishop.  The approval process generally takes 4-6 weeks.
 Funeral, Memorial Services and all other occasional services are made by special arrangement with the Rector.
